For centuries, Christians have put their faith in a system called Christianity. We have been told that grace replaced obedience, that the law was abolished, and that the Antichrist is a future power. But what if Scripture tells a different story?

Sacred Deceptions: Babylon in the Name of Jesus traces a single thread from Genesis to Revelation, confronting the possibility that modern Christianity has absorbed doctrines and practices Scripture never authorized—and that sincerity alone does not protect us from deception or ignorance when the truth is there for us to examine.
At its heart, this is a book about love, repentance, restoration, obedience, and worship. God has always required obedience born of love. The New Covenant does not erase His commandments; it writes them on the heart. That is the worship that He accepts, not worship invented by man. The final conflict is not political or technological. It is spiritual. It is about worship. It is about who defines truth—God or tradition.
Letting Scripture Speak for Itself
Sacred Deceptions reaches beyond denominational barriers and inherited doctrine to examine what the Bible actually says. Heavily anchored in Scripture and comparing Scripture with Scripture, it challenges readers to set aside what they have been told long enough to examine whether those teachings can stand on the Word of God.
The book takes on salvation, law and grace, repentance, true worship, Babylon, the Beast and its mark, the False Prophet, Christ's Passion Week, the Rapture, and much more. It asks hard questions about teachings many Christians have accepted without ever being challenged to investigate for themselves. This is not speculation or fear-driven sensationalism. Nor is it a call to leave one denomination only to join another. It is a call to search the Scriptures, test every doctrine, and determine whether our faith rests upon the Word of God or centuries of religious tradition. Sacred Deceptions will challenge some things you may have believed all your life. Some of what you read may offend you. Some of it may force you to reconsider doctrines you thought were settled. But if a teaching cannot withstand an honest examination of Scripture, then how long we have believed it cannot make it true.

Follow the references. Read the surrounding passages. Compare Scripture with Scripture. Pray for understanding. And when what you find conflicts with something you have always been taught, do not turn away simply because the answer is uncomfortable.
We believe every Christian is responsible for what they know or refuse to know concerning the Word of God. The question is not whether a doctrine is popular, whether a denomination teaches it, or whether generations before us believed it. The question is whether it is true.
So read with an open mind and an open Bible. Examine what we have written for yourself.

About the Author
Emmanuel Trotter, an inmate in the Tennessee Department of Corrections, gave his life to Jesus Christ in 2007. He holds a degree in paralegal studies with which he has assisted in the defense and release of many men and women while in the penal system.
After surrendering his life to God, Emmanuel sought fellowship and the Word of God in many different Christian churches. Having been raised in the denomination of his family, he knew little about why Christianity was divided into so many denominations and initially believed those differences did not matter. It did not take long, however, for him to encounter what he describes as many different “versions of the truth.”
Confused but determined to understand, Emmanuel began praying for God to show him His truth according to His Spirit rather than men. He wanted to understand God's Word and His will, with the intent to obey. For 19 years, through much prayer and study and by the grace of God, Emmanuel has been given knowledge and understanding from the Scriptures, exposing much error being taught in the Christian faith.
In 2022, Emmanuel was inspired to put what he had learned into writing and share it with others. Limited in resources and unsure how to write a book or how to get it to the world from prison, he was reluctant to try. However, the Holy Spirit was persistent and would not allow him to rest. In obedience to the will of God and with the assistance of his wife, he began to write all that he was inspired to write. In 2026, the work was completed.
Emmanuel dedicates Sacred Deceptions to Christ the Lord and his wife, Kim, who is his heart and a true blessing to him and all who meet her. He gives all glory to the God of salvation.
Kimberly Chastain made a profession of faith in Christ and was baptized at the age of 11. When she left home, she stopped attending church and spent many years living largely apart from the faith she had professed. Over the years, she would return to church, but something was always missing. She did the things she believed a Christian was supposed to do, yet she never fully understood what it meant to surrender her life to Christ.
That changed in 2021, when Kim came to understand that knowing about Christ and identifying as a Christian were not the same as surrendering her life to Him. She turned seriously to Scripture, seeking to understand what God actually required of those who profess to follow Him. It fundamentally changed her understanding of faith, obedience, and her relationship with God.
When Emmanuel began writing Sacred Deceptions, Kim became his partner in bringing the handwritten manuscript to a finished work. What began as typing and proof-reading grew into years of collaboration as she helped refine the manuscript while preserving Emmanuel’s message and intent. She also contributed original material to the book as it took its final form and has helped carry the project beyond the manuscript into preparation, production, and distribution.
Kim is grateful for what Jesus has done in both her life and Emmanuel’s and considers it a privilege to help bring Sacred Deceptions to those willing to read, study, and examine its message for themselves.
Together, Emmanuel and Kim are witnesses to the grace of God and give Him all glory and honor.
Why Is Sacred Deceptions Free?
When we first began looking for a way to publish Sacred Deceptions, we pursued traditional publishing, sending letters, excerpts, and manuscript submissions without success. We then began exploring self-publishing companies and quickly discovered that bringing the book to market through those channels could cost thousands of dollars. At first, the obstacle seemed financial. But as we considered our options, the question became much bigger than what we could afford. We had to ask whether charging for the message was consistent with the message itself.
We believe the understanding contained in Sacred Deceptions was given freely by God through years of prayer and Scripture study. We became convicted that we should give it freely as well. At the same time, Emmanuel was determined that the substance of what he had written not be reshaped or polished into something more commercially marketable. Preparing and distributing the book ourselves became the path that allowed us to honor both convictions.
The digital edition of Sacred Deceptions will be freely available, and printed copies will also be offered free of charge. We are trusting God to provide what is needed to place the message into the hands of those willing to receive it. Those who choose to support the work can help extend its reach, allowing more copies to be placed into the hands of those willing to receive them. Our faith is in God, who provided the message and whom we trust to provide the means to share it.
